PEACEBUILDING AND RECONCILIATION

 

Our Peacebuilding and Reconciliation ministry is based on the need for humans to be reconciled with God and God's call for our lives to be reconciled to each other. In many parts of Africa there have been longstanding situations both of personal conflict and of civil war. Unless true forgiveness can be achieved there cannot be healing in these situations.

 

Initially, AE works with Church and Political Leaders, but we also work quietly with individuals at the grassroots levels. AE Programmes include Training, Healing Seminars and Mediation work.

 

We serve Local Churches by equipping them to be a faithful voice in their Community and, importantly, to be a model of Peacebuilding and Reconciliation in their own context. At present, much of our work is focused on Rwanda, South Africa, Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.
